Blood volume: 80-90 ml blood per kg live weight* (*Live weight = weight of the living animal)
Red corpuscles: 5.5 to 8.5 x 106 per mm3 (= 5.5 to 8.5 million)
Hemoglobin: 12 to 18 g per 100 ml
Platelets: 2 to 500,000 per mm3
Hematocrit (%): 37-55 (volume of red corpuscles as a proportion of blood volume)
Calcium: 95 to 120 mg/liter
Glucose: 0.7 to 1.1 g/liter
Total lipids: 5.5 to 14.5 g/liter
Cholesterol: 0.5 to 2.7 g/liter
Phosphorus: 40 to 80 mg/liter
Bleeding time (ear): 2 to 3 minutes
Coagulation time: 6 to 7.5 minutes
